IBM Cloud Managed Services, Virtual

  • Provided SAN administration to a global enterprise with 14 data centers across the world. Tasks included performance analysis, zoning, disk allocation, firmware updates and troubleshooting in a 24x7 environment cloud environment. Technology in use in the environment included Brocade switches, IBM FlashSystem, XIV, SVC, V7K, VMware, Hyper-V, OVM
  • As the storage focal for one of the first DevOps teams deployed within the IBM CMS environment, acted as the single point of contact for all storage related issues for one of IBM CMS’ largest accounts.
  • System administration primarily for SAN devices but also for the SAN management devices which included Linux Redhat and Windows Server (~45 servers).
  • Responsible for logical configuration of new storage technology introduced into the environment.
  • Developed documentation for processes and procedures in support of peers and the change process.
  • Responsible for security compliance (HIPPA, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.) for all Brocade switches in the environment (~140 switches) and Tivoli Productivity Center servers (~30 servers).

IBM Global Services, Virtual

  • Provided SAN administration to a global enterprise in the automotive industry. Tasks included performance analysis, zoning, disk allocation, firmware updates and troubleshooting in a 24x7 environment cloud environment. Technology in use in the environment included Cisco switches, IBM SVC, V7K, VMware, EMC DMX, EMC Symmetrix, Solaris
  • Developed reporting scripts to generate capacity planning documents necessary to the business line in order to forecast their future requirements and capacity utilization.
