Responsibilities 

  • At all times, act as a representative of Global Vehicle Systems using our core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers 
  • Promote and enforce a safe, clean, organized and healthy work environment through planned work habits in accordance with Provincial Labour Laws, Health and Safety Regulations, and company policies and procedures 
  • Maintain servers – Ensure optimal performance of all servers.  Maintain adequate HDD Space, physical components, and Active Directory accounts.  Set user security permissions.  Install and maintain required roles / services. 
  • Maintain system hardware and schedule service calls if necessary 
  • Setup and configure new PC's for new employees and/or upgrade equipment for existing employees 
  • Configure/monitor back ups of all servers 
  • Maintain wireless network including controller software and firmware 
  • Research, order/purchase all IT related items, software, hardware and services 
  • Create and maintain VPN client accounts on router 
  • Maintain network switches and routers 
  • Configure and maintain link aggregations and VLANs on LAN switches 
  • Maintain user accounts and licensing requirements for all Office 365 subscriptions/services 
  • Create and maintain Office 365 SharePoint sites 
  • SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management system) administration 
  • Maintain licensing for Antivirus and Antimalware software 
  • Install updates for any software used (Servers/End Clients) 
  • Oversee all subscription and software licensing renewals 
  • Maintain GVS website 
  • Provide support to internal PC users 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot any printer issues and contact appropriate tech support when needed. Maintain inventory of printer supplies and order as necessary. 
  • Oversee mobile phone contract renewals, hardware renewals, replacements, repairs and upgrades. Apply and remove features to specific devices. 
  • Configure and maintain IP phone system 
  • Maintain the PC that runs the security system, phone system and IP Camera System 
  • Maintain and track the issuing of all employee security access cards 
  • Other related tasks, as required
